Biography

Jack Nowell  is proving himself as one of the stand out players in the current England rugby team; his electric and fast style of play make him hard to miss.

The Cornishman Nowell is a product of the excellent academy system at Exeter chiefs and has broken onto the domestic and international stage with a storm. He was a top scorer for the England U20 team that won the 2013 Junior World Championship and won LV= breakthrough player of the year for the 2012-13 season. Carrying on from his early international success Jack has gone onto to earn himself 13 international caps, scoring 8 tries on the way.

Jack is one of very few who have scored a hat trick on their Rugby World Cup debut, and scored a crucial try in England’s first win of the 2016 Six Nations under the new realm of Eddie Jones.

His on-field attacking style of play is a contrast to his laid-back and relaxed character off the pitch; his work ethic however remains a constant. Despite being only 22 years old, Jack is mature for his age and this is reflected in the composure he shows whilst playing.

Jack’s tattoos (and hair) are another unique feature and are very much a part of who he is, each one representative of his family heritage and Cornish culture. His father, grandfather and great-grandfather were all fisherman and he is now a proud ambassador of the RNLI helping raise awareness of the incredible work done by Lifeboat Stations around the UK, particularly his local station Penlee where he grew up.

He has two younger brothers Henry and Frankie who both look up to him as a role model. He’s also a keen surfer and often spends his days off down at the beach or playing with his two French Bulldogs, Buddy and Boo, who feature heavily on his Instagram page.
