Henry Slade is the future of England rugby.
His cool composure and stylish play have won him plenty of admirers and the 24-year-old has been cited by some of the most respected names in the sport as the next great hope for English rugby.
Slade is now in his third season at Exeter Chiefs and has already stamped his authority on the side emerging as one of their star players. He played a pivotal role for the England Under 20s team in 2013 as they won the Junior World Championship, as well as lifting their third successive Six Nations title. Since then Slade has made four appearances for the Senior England team, scoring a try on his World Cup debut in 2015.
Slade has an utterly charming demeanour about him; he’s calm, considered and it’s no surprise he thrives under the pressure of wearing the number 10 jersey.
At 6ft 3in and with model looks Henry stands out off the pitch as much as he does on it.
Four years ago Henry was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and now works as an ambassador for Diabetes UK helping to raise awareness of the disease.
