Biography

Anthony Watson is widely regarded as one of the most exciting backs in world rugby. Having made is Premiership debut at the age of 17, he burst onto the senior international scene in 2013 thanks to his impressive form for his club Bath – first training with the England squad as a 19 year old, before making his debut in 2014 against the All Blacks. He now has 46 caps for England, scoring 19 tries, and started all 3 test matches on the 2017 Lions tour to New Zealand. His world class consistency at the highest level makes it highly likely he will tour South Africa with the Lions again this year – should it go ahead!

Off the field, Anthony recently became a father and is also engaged to be married. He is well known for his love of American sports (big NFL and NBA fan), fashion and music. Indeed his passion for style and fashion (especially trainers!) is a big draw for many of his young followers and a key reason why he is a global ambassador for Adidas.

He has a first class honours degree in Leadership and Management and is now studying for his Masters too.

Rugby very much runs in the Watson family – Dad Duncan played for Saracens, older brother Marcus played internationally for England 7’s, won and Rio Olympics silver medal with Team GB 7’s and now plays for Wasps, and younger brother Callum played for London Irish before going to University.
